I'll tell you a story that demonstrates this problem perfectly! Niall's Brother, Greg, got married in Ireland earlier this week. Fans crowded around the church, screaming and disrupting the ceremony. When the newly weds came out of the church, with their parties behind them, they were mobbed by fans. Niall was among the groomsmen and was the one who got the worst of the mob. Niall and Greg never mentioned anything on Twitter about the fans, but I guess they just wanted to brush it off and enjoy the fact that Greg just got married. Although, things like that don't just happen and you don't care. It was rude and disrespectful on part of those young girls, AND THEIR PARENTS, to disturb a special day like that. I know it's part of being famous to deal with that, but thats ridiculous. I would NEVER do something like that! It's sad that people automatically think, "Wow, Directioners are terrible people," but many of us really aren't and it's a very inaccurate assumption.
Here are some pictures that fans managed to snap!

Ridiculous fans waiting outside with the Niall cutout. Really?!
I would just like to mention that Niall looked absolutely dapper in that suit.
